PostSubject: GameMaster Application Template   GameMaster Application Template I_icon_minitimeSat Dec 25, 2010 1:38 am

So, you ventured into this thread? Do you think you have what it takes to become a GameMaster on WoW Universe? Well then.... I will explain the position, just to verify that you can actually fulfill what is expected of you. First off, I will name some requirements. The ones I don't list, are obviously, common sense.

A WORKING mic, with Ventrilo installed. Some of the GMs on WoWUniverse use Skype aswell, so it's a bonus to download Skype. It's actually recommended.
Two or more hours on our servers each day (on your GM account, of course).
Common knowledge of ArcEmu commands
Proper English and grammar is required.

Now that we have gone over the requirements, now we will talk about GM rules... You must follow these, or they will resort in your GM account taking away, or at worst, your IP can be banned.

Things NOT To Do If You're a GM

NO spawning item for other players (unless told to by an Executive).
NO killing players on your GM account.
NO favoring players, treat all players equally.
NO healing or buffing normal players.

Discipline Actions

1. If you find a player hacking (actually see the player hacking, not just hear people saying that player is), ban their IP. Try to get a screenshot or recording. Then, consult an Executive. The executive will then go into the account DB, and see if that IP had been banned for hacking before. If not, it will be a 7 day IP ban. If so, it will be a permanent IP ban, and a termination of all accounts accessed by that IP.

2. If a player is spamming, kick the player. If he/she continues, mute them for an hour. If they continue, mute them for a day. Never, EVER, go past a day mute.

3. If someone is making fun of another ingame, mute them for an hour. If they continue once they are off the mute, then mute them for a day. Never go past the day mute.

Now. You will have to fill out this template. When you are done, post your application in the GameMaster Applications part of the forums.

Lastly, I will give and explain the three stages of application review.

Declined - Upon a first glance, an Executive has found that the applicant isn't right for the position.

Unread - An application that continues to sit in the GameMaster Applications part of the forums is unread, which means it hasn't been reviewed by an Executive.

Pending - An Executive has glanced at the application and slid it through so the other staff members can read it.

Accepted - Your application has been read by every member of the staff. Once all staff members view it, we take a vote. Majority rules.
